Bruce Edwards, M.D. On a warm, beautiful Friday afternoon in San Francisco, Bruce Gensler Edwards, aged 61 years, passed peacefully and swiftly after living with Parkinson’s disease and dementia for many years. He was an outstanding physician of 35 years, a husband to adoring wife Sandy, father to two loving sons David and Gabe, brother to devoted sister Barbara Blum, a friend and relative to countless in whose memory he will always remain. Bruce amassed more wonderful wine than one could drink in a lifetime, more great books than one could ever page through, because his ultimate reward was in sharing with everyone he loved. The funeral will take place on Sunday May 2nd at 12 noon at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco. Interment will follow at Home of Peace Cemetery in Colma. Donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to UCSF Memory and Aging Center, Parkinson’s Institute in Sunnyvale, or Congregation Beth Sholom in San Francisco.
