Stephen John Levin Media sales executive and father of three, died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, Wednesday evening in Encino, CA, after a two-year struggle with cancer. He was born in San Francisco on November 26, 1948, the son of David Derek Levin and Phylys Goldstein Levin. He graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco in 1966 and earned his B.A. degree at the University of California, Berkeley in 1970. He had a distinguished career as a sales executive in the media business, working first for KGO-TV in S.F., and rising to vice president at KRON-TV in S.F. before he was 30. In the 1980s he produced a film, “Almost You,” distributed by 20th Century Fox, before moving on to a long period of service as vice president for sales and marketing at Telemundo, a Spanish-language cable TV network. He was an avid collector of wines and a lover of music, especially opera. He is survived by his loving wife Katheryne High Levin; his children David, Rachel, and Andrew Levin; David’s wife Shelly; and his brother Richard Levin. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Stephen S. Wise Temple, 15500 Stephen S. Wise Drive, Los Angeles.
